Alright, so you've got Garry's Mod up and running, and you're ready to hit the road. Spawning and driving vehicles is a blast, and it's pretty straightforward once you know how. Let's get you cruising!

Spawning Vehicles

Most of the time, you'll be spawning vehicles using the Spawnmenu. This is your go-to tool for pretty much anything you want to add to your game world, including vehicles.

Using the Spawnmenu

1. Press the Q key (by default) to open the Spawnmenu.
2. In the Spawnmenu, look for the 'Vehicles' tab. It's usually pretty easy to spot.
3. Click on the 'Vehicles' tab to see all the available cars, trucks, planes, boats, and more.
4. Simply click on the vehicle you want, and it will appear in front of you, usually a short distance away.

Important Notes on Spawning

• Addons: Many of the coolest vehicles you'll find come from community addons. If you've downloaded and installed addons, they'll often show up in their own categories within the Spawnmenu.
• Props vs. Vehicles: Be aware that some vehicle models might just be props and not actually drivable. Look for dedicated vehicle spawners or check the addon description if you're unsure.
• Server Restrictions: On some multiplayer servers, vehicle spawning might be restricted or managed by specific server commands. If you can't spawn vehicles, check the server's rules or ask an admin.

Driving Vehicles

Once you've spawned a vehicle, getting behind the wheel is the next step.

Getting In and Out

• Walk up to the driver's side door of the vehicle.
• Press your Use key (usually E) to enter the vehicle.
• To exit, press your Use key again.

Controls

The controls for driving are pretty standard:

• W, A, S, D: Accelerate, Left, Brake/Reverse, Right.
• Spacebar: Handbrake (useful for drifting!).
• Mouse: Steer the vehicle.

Vehicle Specifics

Different vehicles will handle differently. Cars will be nimble, trucks might be slower but more powerful, and boats will obviously handle water. Experiment to get a feel for each!

Troubleshooting

• Vehicle won't spawn: Make sure you have enough free space around you, and that you're not trying to spawn it inside another object.
• Controls not working: Double-check your keybinds in the Garry's Mod settings. Sometimes addons can conflict with default controls.
• Vehicle is stuck/glitching: Try spawning a new one, or if it's a physics issue, sometimes using the Physics Gun (Q menu -> Tools -> Physics Gun) to nudge it can help.
