Demon Questioning is a mechanic in Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster that functions similarly to demon begging. Instead of requesting an item, the demon will pose a question related to your character's values, akin to the final question during a normal negotiation (a type of interaction where you converse with demons to recruit them or gain items). The outcomes of Demon Questioning are the same as those from demon begging.

However, there is a distinction when the asker is a Dark demon (a specific classification of demon). Dark demons will not join your party. Instead, they will only provide you with items, money, and information.

Certain demon types, specifically Yoju, Yuki, and Gedo, are too unintelligent to engage in normal conversations. Consequently, they will never initiate a question during this mechanic.
