Discover the secrets of the Meifu Corridor in Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster. Learn how to recruit powerful demons and understand the lore behind the Manekata.
The Meifu Corridor is a special area in Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster that can only be accessed if you enter the "Eternal 12m" during a 2/8 or 6/8 moon phase. While it contains no treasure, it holds secrets that can lead to recruiting powerful demons.
Walkthrough
- 1The Meifu Corridor is characterized by one-way doors leading north and east. The exit is located three doors north and two doors east from the entrance. Any other path will lead you to the northeast corner, which teleports you back to the beginning.
- 2The corridor features two "lost souls" in the northwest and southeast corners.
- 3The southeast soul, a former psychopath, asks about the morality of killing. Your response does not affect the outcome.
- 4The northwest soul, a former businessman, asks if his life was a success. Your response does not affect the outcome.
- 5At the exit of the maze, a Shinentai reveals that the "Mud Bell of the Afterlife," capable of raising the dead, was stolen from this area of the Amara Deep Zone.
- 6Leave the Amara Deep Zone and travel to Zoshigaya (where the vaporized Manekata are found at the end of the Ginza Tunnel). You will find a vaporized Manekata and the Bell. A nearby Shinentai explains he used the bell to become fully human, but died instantly as the Vortex cannot normally support human life.
- 7The next time you check peepholes in the Amara Deep Zone, the Nurse will acknowledge your possession of the bell. She explains it was stolen by a Manekata who dreamed of reincarnation, as the bell can reincarnate lost souls.
- 8The Nurse provides lore about the Manekata, explaining they were born from strong human emotions left behind after the Fertilization wiped out Asakusa. These emotions formed bodies in the mud of Mifunashiro, creating the Manekata as new residents of the Vortex, cursed with the inability to harness Creation or advance.
- 9The Nurse reveals that the businessman's desire for revenge spawned Sakahagi, and the psychopath's desire for love and warmth spawned Futomimi.
- 10Bring the Mud Bell to the two souls in the Meifu Corridor and touch them. They will be reincarnated as Sakahagi and Futomimi, respectively.
- 11Once both souls have passed on, you can fuse Gedo Sakahagi and Kishin Futomimi at the Jakyo Manor.
Tips
- Sakahagi is a mediocre demon, but Futomimi is a strong ally.
