Complete Venomous Revenge in Hogwarts Legacy

Alright, so you're looking to tackle the Venomous Revenge side quest in Hogwarts Legacy? It's a pretty straightforward one, but there are a couple of spots where you can mess up if you're not careful. Don't worry, I'll walk you through it. First things first, you'll need to have finished the main story quest called "The Helm of Urtkot." Once that's done, head over to Hogsmeade and find Ackley Barnes. He's usually hanging out behind The Three Broomsticks. He'll ask you to grab a Venomous Tentacula, so your next stop is Lalley's Cellar.

Walkthrough

Head to Lalley's Cellar: Once you get to the cellar, the main thing to watch out for is Alfred. If he spots you, you'll have to start over from the beginning of the cellar section. So, your best bet is to use the Disillusionment Spell to turn invisible.

Distract Alfred: Once you're invisible, look to the left of Alfred. You'll see a torch. Shoot it with a spell to create a distraction. While he's looking away, hug the wall and make your way towards the door in the back right corner of the room.

Unlock the Door: This door is locked, so you'll need to use Alohomora to pick the lock. If you haven't done this before, you'll have learned it during the "The Caretaker's Lunar Lament" main quest.

Navigate the Cellar: After you get through the door, keep following the path. You'll eventually reach a large room with a Thornback Scurriour. Just avoid it and head up the stairs to your left.

Find the Venomous Tentacula: At the top of the stairs, you'll find the Venomous Tentacula you're looking for. Interact with it to add it to your inventory.

Return to Ackley: Now that you've got the tentacula, make your way out of the cellar. Head back to Ackley Barnes and give him the item to complete the quest.

Tips

If you get cornered by spiders in the cellar, don't panic! Use fire-based spells like Confringo, they're super effective against them.
Make sure you've got Alohomora unlocked before you head into the cellar, otherwise, you won't be able to open that important door.
