Alright, once you've got the quest going, your main destination is the Forbidden Forest. It's super helpful to have the Floo Fire fast travel point nearby because the entrance you're looking for has a danger sign, much like the map itself. Also, a heads-up: you'll need to be there at night. If it's daytime when you arrive, just open your map and wait until nighttime.

If you're not sure where the Forbidden Forest entrance is, it's located along the road that connects Hogsmeade and Hogwarts. You likely passed it early in the game.

Once you're at the entrance, equip your Lumos spell right by the bridge. You'll see some candles magically appear along the bridge's fence. Your job now is to follow these candles!

Don't stress about any tough fights here; the candles will guide you through paths with friendly creatures, steering clear of trouble. Just keep following them, and they'll eventually lead you to a special area where you'll find some items and, most importantly, a chest.

Go ahead and loot that chest! This is what completes the quest. We ended up getting the Treasure Seeker’s Scarf from it, but keep in mind that the loot from these chests can be a bit random, so you might get something different.
