Complete the Phoenix Rising side quest in Hogwarts Legacy. Learn how to start the quest, find the Phoenix's cave near Poidsear Coast, and catch the creature for Deek.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
To start the Phoenix Rising side quest, you must have reached the **Winter** season in Hogwarts Legacy and completed Deek's previous quests: "The Elf, the Nab-sack, and the Loom," "The Plight of The House Elf," and "Foal of The Dead."
  2. 2
Speak with Deek in the Room of Requirement during Winter to accept the quest.
  3. 3
Deek will ask you to find and catch a Phoenix. The Phoenix's cave is located in Phoenix Mountain Cave, near the Poidsear Coast.
  4. 4
If you haven't visited this area before, you'll need to pass through a tunnel occupied by goblins. A Floo Flame is situated just outside the cave entrance.
  5. 5
Enter the cave and proceed through the linear path. You will encounter poachers and spiders. It's recommended to use a balanced loadout of damage and crowd-control spells like Stupefy.
  6. 6
As you progress deeper into the cave, you will encounter the Phoenix. You'll need to climb slopes to catch up to it. The enemy types will shift from mostly poachers to mostly spiders as you get closer to the Phoenix.
  7. 7
Upon reaching the end of the cave, the Phoenix will be perched on a rock. Use your Nab-sack to catch it by pressing the indicated button.
  8. 8
After catching the Phoenix, follow the path behind its perch to exit the cave and return to Deek.
  9. 9
Showing Deek the Phoenix will unlock the fourth and final Vivarium, and the Phoenix will fly into it.
Tips
  • This quest is straightforward and similar to Deek's other side quests.
  • The Phoenix's cave is relatively short.
  • Adjust your spell loadout based on the enemies you encounter (poachers vs. spiders).
  • The Phoenix cannot be bred, and there are no Shiny versions available.
  • Unlocks the fourth Vivarium.
  • Access to Phoenix Feathers (a rare resource).
