Walkthrough

    Accept the Spot Removal quest from Sascharissa.

    Follow the waypoint into the Forbidden Forest, marked by a purple circle. Be prepared for two Forest Trolls and several Poacher Stalkers.

    Locate and defeat the Forest Troll guarding the Bubotubers. Use red combat spells like Bombarda, Confringo, Diffindo, and Expelliarmus, or utilize Venomous Tentacula and Chinese Chomping Cabbage. Blocking the troll's rock throws and returning them with Ancient Magic Throw will stagger it for bonus damage. Using Focus Potions and Maxima Potions can increase damage output.

    Find the five Bubotubers within the troll's lair and the surrounding purple area.

    Return to Sascharissa at the Dogweed and Deathcap store in Hogsmeade.

    When presented with a choice, select "Yes, but for a higher price" to receive 500 Galleons instead of the base 300 Galleons. The outfit reward remains the same regardless of your choice.

Bubotuber Locations:

  • Inside the troll cave, against the north rock wall.
  • On the northwest side of the troll cave, near tree roots and vines.
  • East of where the Forest Troll fights Poacher Scouts, near thick trees with visible roots.
  • South of the quest minimap marker, where the path heading southwest meets a path heading northwest, next to a bush and tree stump (use Revelio).
  • One more is found inside the troll's lair against the northern wall after defeating the troll.
Tips
  • The Forest Troll's biggest weakness is its stagger mechanic. Use Protego to block its attacks and then counter with Stupefy.
  • Blocking and returning the troll's thrown rocks with Ancient Magic Throw causes a longer stagger.
  • Poachers are not a significant threat and can be dealt with using spells.
  • Using Revelio can help locate some Bubotubers.
