Rainbow Ride is a vibrant and challenging course in Super Mario 64, known for its unique platforming sections and the enemies you'll encounter. This overview will help you identify the foes you'll face and where to find those precious 1-Up Mushrooms.

Enemies

• Amps: You'll find these electric enemies on platforms during the carpet rides. Keep an eye out for them as you traverse the course.
• Keronpa Balls: These are located within the maze section that contains the Red Coins.
• Lakitu: Be prepared for Lakitus! One will be near the spinning platforms, tossing Spinies at you, while another waits on the flying ship.
• Bob-Ombs: You'll encounter two Bob-Ombs on the ground level near the Red Coin maze, and a few more can be found on the flying ship.
• Goomba: A lone Goomba resides in the area with the swinging platforms, specifically on a ledge with a sloped surface and small ledges.
• Fly Guy: This enemy is located at the base of a pole that's surrounded by a wooden fence.
• Chuckya: There's only one Chuckya in the entire course, found on the island you need to shoot yourself to in order to get the star Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

1-Up Locations

• You can find a 1-Up above one of the Tricky Triangles.
• Look for a yellow box containing a 1-Up underneath the swinging platforms.
• There's a yellow box with a 1-Up on top of the maze.
• You can trigger a 1-Up while falling with the donut block located on top of the maze.
• The second set of donut blocks, immediately after taking the carpet towards the big house, holds a 1-Up.
• A yellow box on the roof of the big house contains a 1-Up.
• On the spinning platform with the “arms,” while making your way to the flying ship, you can find a 1-Up.
• The very tip of the flying ship, near the star, also has a 1-Up.
• Climb to the top of the pole on the flying ship to find another 1-Up.
