Walkthrough

First things first, you need to get to the top of the giant maze. Head towards the Blue Coin Block; the wall next to it is where you'll want to start your Wall Jumps. It might take a couple of tries to get the hang of it, but don't worry! There's a spinning heart right nearby if you need to heal up.

Once you've successfully navigated the maze and reached the top, look for the pink Bob-Omb Buddy. Chat with him, and he'll open up the cannon for you.

Now, you need to get to the flying ship. Remember the spinning platforms? Head back there and use the flying carpet. When you get to the choice of two more carpets, make sure you grab the one that heads towards the flying ship. (This is the same path you took for the 'Cruiser Crossing the Rainbow' star, if you remember that one!)

Once you land on the ship, you'll see the cannon. It's located on the opposite end from where the Power Star is. The star itself is on a big island right next to the rainbow ring.

Your goal is to aim the cannon straight for the center of that rainbow ring. Make sure the vertical alignment is with the pole.

When you land on the island, watch out for the Chuckya! Just avoid them, break open the yellow box, and claim your Power Star!

Tips

Don't get discouraged if you don't nail the Wall Jumps on your first try. Keep practicing, and use that heart if you take a tumble.
The flying carpet section can be a little tricky with the choices. Stick to the path that clearly leads to the ship.
When aiming the cannon, focus on the center of the rainbow ring. Precision is key here!
