Into the Igloo

Alright, let's head into the Igloo in Super Mario 64! This is the indoor section of the Snowman's Land course, and you'll need to get a little creative to reach it.

First things first, you'll want to make your way to the freezing pond. You can get there by taking the warp. Once you're at the pond, look for a Spindrift – one of those little ice puff enemies. Use it to get up to an upper ledge. On this ledge, you'll find a box. Break it open to reveal a Koopa shell. Grab that shell!

Now, here's the fun part: ride the Koopa shell back down to the freezing pond. You're looking for a steep slope with a trail of coins leading up it. Head up this slope, and you'll eventually hit a fence. That fence is the entrance to the igloo!

Quick Tip: If you happen to lose the Koopa shell or just want a shortcut, there's another way. If you're heading up the path behind where the moving mounds of snow are, you can perform a Triple Jump over a big wall. This will land you right near the igloo entrance.

Once you're inside the igloo, you'll see the star right away, encased in ice. But wait, there's a catch! In the corner opposite the entrance, there's a Vanish Cap block. You'll need to grab the Vanish Cap from this block. Once you've got it on, double back towards the star. The Vanish Cap will let you pass through the ice wall and grab that shiny star!
