Follow this Super Mario 3D All-Stars walkthrough to grab the Bee Mushroom, navigate wooden platforms, and defeat the Undergrunt Gunner boss in Gold Leaf Galaxy.

Alright, let's tackle this Gold Leaf Galaxy star in Super Mario 3D All-Stars! This one's called "When it Rains, it Pours," and it's all about using that Bee Mario form to your advantage.

Grab the Bee Mushroom

First things first, you need to get that Bee Mushroom. Head to the top of the hill on the starting planet. If you can't just run up, go around the back of the cliff and use a wall jump to reach the higher ground. Once you've got the Bee Mushroom and transformed into Bee Mario, you'll need to fly over to those flowers leading towards the big redwood tree area. Keep an eye out for those rain clouds – getting caught under one will make you lose your Bee form! Don't worry though, you can just fly over or around them. Fun fact: Bee Mario is light enough to actually use the rain clouds as temporary platforms!

You can only jump on those flowers if you're Bee Mario, so make sure you've got that power-up.

Wooden Platforms and Mandibugs

Once you've zipped across the flowers, you'll land on a wooden platform with a swing. Use the swing to get a good boost into the air, then fly onto the clouds. You'll need to hop from cloud to cloud until you reach a hexagonal wooden platform. From there, carefully make your way across the series of wooden structures. Remember to avoid the stormy clouds and those pesky Mandibugs. You can either fly right over them or ground pound them to take them out.

When you reach the end of the wooden structures, use the spring jump to launch yourself up to another swing. From this swing, fly up towards the observatory tower.

Observatory Tower

Now, you need to ascend the observatory tower. As you climb, you'll have to make several stops along the sides. There are quite a few rain clouds scattered around your path, so be ready to duck for cover or move out of their way quickly. If you get hit, you'll lose your Bee form and have to backtrack. Once you reach the highest platform, you'll find a concrete stump. Ground pound it to reveal a Sproutle Vine that will whisk you right to the top of the observatory.

Undergrunt Gunner Boss

You've made it to the top, but now it's time to face the Undergrunt Gunner! He's got a spiky shield and is protected by moving platforms that slide across the observatory roof.

Strategy:

• As Bee Mario: The Gunner will be shooting bubbles at you. If you get hit, you'll lose your Bee form, so stay agile! Fly towards the Gunner and ground pound his glass casing.
• As Normal Mario: If you've lost your Bee form, don't panic! Head to the back of the observatory and ground pound the button there. This will raise some platforms near where you started. Quickly use these platforms to jump up onto the Gunner's machine.

You'll need to successfully ground pound the glass casing three times to defeat him. Be warned, he gets tougher with each hit! During the final phase, he'll be extra furious and fire his bubbles even faster, making it a real challenge to dodge them.

Once the Undergrunt Gunner is down for the count, a Star will appear. Grab it to complete the level!
