Follow this guide to collect the Hidden Star 'Burning Tide' in Melty Molten Galaxy, Super Mario 3D All-Stars. Learn how to feed the Hungry Luma and find all five Silver Stars.
This page is dedicated to the hidden star level, Burning Tide found in the first level of Melty Molten Galaxy, The Sinking Lava Spire.
Walkthrough
- 1You’ll begin near a large lava lake. Make your way across the sinking platforms, watching out for the li’l cinders and fire jets. Stand on the platforms for too long and they will sink into the lava, causing burn damage.
- 2Once across the lake, head up the steps and past the fire jets. Wall jump up the concrete block and ground pound it to reveal another wall jumping structure. Head up that and then go right to take a sling star towards the volcano. Take the second sling star near the volcano, then the Launch Star to head up to a new set of planets. Collect as many Star Bits as possible while flying.
- 3On the glass planets, instead of going right, speak to the Hungry Luma to the left. Feed the Hungry Luma 80 Star Bits to transform it into a Launch Star and create a new planet.
- 4On the new planet, collect all five Silver Stars. The lava moves in tides, so paths will only be visible for a short time.
- 5From the first mound, head downwards. At the junction, head right to grab the first Silver Star in the center of fire jets.
- 6Wait for the path to reveal itself and head all the way left to grab the second Silver Star, surrounded by Lava Bubbles.
- 7When the path reveals itself again, head upwards towards a tall metal pole. Climb up it and jump to grab the third Silver Star.
- 8Wait for the tide to go out, then head north east to grab the fourth Silver Star, surrounded by li’l cinders.
- 9The final Silver Star can be found on a path to the left of the Blue Lava Bubbles mound. Dodge the fire bars to get to it.
- 10When all five Silver Stars are collected, a Power Star will spawn in the center of the lava planet. Reach it via the paths when the tide is down.
Tips
- Collect Star Bits at the beginning of the level to have enough to feed the Hungry Luma.
- Watch out for the lava tides; paths are temporary and will disappear when the tide comes in.
