Walkthrough

    Start the level by catching the penguin by skating after him. A launch Star will then be available to send you to the bottom of the peak.

    You’ll land on a slide that takes you to an icy platform with Goombas. Dispose of or avoid them. Be careful, as a spin attack will cause you to skate and lose balance.

    Head towards the ? Coin to make the Ice Flower appear. Once you become Ice Mario, use the water spouts on the wall to create ice platforms and ascend.

    Instead of following the path with Goombas and a directional arrow, continue right and use the water spouts to reach a different section of the mountain. Triple jump up the second set of water spouts to reach a Sling Star.

    The Sling Star will transport you to another part of the mountain with snowmen blocking the path.

    Break the crystal containing a Fire Flower with a spin attack. Once you become Fire Mario, shoot fireballs by pressing Y to defeat the snowmen. Ice Bats will fly at you; they can be defeated with fireballs but will retreat from a spin attack or distance.

    After clearing the path, ascend steps with Bomps. Destroy another snowman with fireballs to reveal a Sling Star.
