Alright, let's talk about the Evil Spirit, a pretty nasty rare enemy you might run into in the Great Crystal. It's a bit of a pain because it can show up when you're already dealing with a bunch of other tough enemies, so you'll need to be ready!

Where to Find It:

You'll find the Evil Spirit chilling in the upper parts of the Great Crystal. Specifically, it can spawn in the same areas as the Forbidden enemies, in Uldobi and Kanbhru. Keep in mind, this guy is rare – there's only a 5% chance it'll pop up instead of a Forbidden enemy, so you might be doing some farming.

As you can see, it's a Level 61-62 enemy with a hefty chunk of HP. Its main weakness is Holy attacks, so make sure your party is equipped to dish those out. You can also try to steal a Lifewick from it, which might be useful.

Resistances:

This thing absorbs Dark attacks, so don't use those! It's also immune to a ton of status effects like Petrify, Stop, Doom, Confuse, Sleep, Blind, Poison, Disease, Disable, Immobilize, Sap, Lure, and Berserk. So, trying to inflict status ailments probably won't work here.

The Strategy:

The biggest challenge with the Evil Spirit isn't usually the spirit itself, but the fact that it often appears when you're already surrounded by Forbidden enemies. Your top priority should be taking out those lesser enemies first to thin out the crowd. This makes it much easier to focus on the Evil Spirit without getting overwhelmed.

Warning: The Evil Spirit can inflict Confuse with its regular attacks. If you get confused, you might end up attacking your own party members, which is obviously bad news! Make sure you have a way to cure Confuse quickly, or better yet, equip gear that protects against it.

Its most dangerous move is casting Firaga, Blizzaga, or Thundaga. These spells hit your whole party and can deal massive damage, especially when you're already taking hits from the Forbidden enemies. Be ready to heal up after these big spells!
