Walkthrough

    Enter the Golmore Jungle's first area, the Paths of Chained Light. Encounter Panthers near the entrance.

    Continue east from the entrance, then take a short path south down stairs to a platform. Collect the Golmore Jungle map from an ornate urn. Malboros are found near the urn.

    West of the urn platform, find a chest that may contain a Burgonet.

    Return north to the main east-west path and continue east, then southeast. Encounter Gargoyles.

    Proceed to the area transition in the southeastern edge of the zone, leading to The Needlebrake.

    In The Needlebrake, head west and then south at the first split to a fork.

    Go east from the fork to a small platform where you may find a trio of chests. The central/southern-most chest might yield a Mage’s Hat. Great Malboros may also appear here.

    Continue east from the chests, go up some stairs, and follow the walkway north.

    Turn south after climbing the stairs to find another chest that may contain a Red Cap.

    Turn back north and follow the walkway to trigger a cutscene at a barrier. Fran will open the path to Eruyt Village.

    Continue north from the barrier to encounter Treants.
Tips
  • Panthers are weak to Ice. They can inflict petrification with Stone Gaze and status ailments with Blaster.
  • Malboros are weak to Wind. They can inflict Sleep and Slow with Cloying Breath.
  • Gargoyles are weak to Ice. They can inflict Silence and other status ailments.
  • Great Malboros are weak to Wind. They can inflict Slow, Poison, and Blind with Bad Breath, in addition to Cloying Breath.
  • Be cautious of the Hellhounds in the southwestern part of the Paths of Chained Light; they are high-level and can be avoided for now.
