Walkthrough

    From the starting area in the East Tanks, head west to find a chest containing a Bhuj (Maces 2).

    Continue south and ascend a ramp to a circular platform. The urn to the left contains the map to the Nam-Yensa Sandsea, and the urn to the right contains the map to the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea.

    On the western side of this platform, a chest may spawn in front of crates and barrels, potentially yielding a Wizard’s Staff (Staves 2).

    Proceed southwest to another platform, then west to a third platform. Head to the western edge to find the area transition to the next section.

    Enter Platform 1 - Refinery. Head to the southwestern end of the circular platform to find a walkway leading to another platform.

    Search along the southeastern edge of this new platform for a collapsed walkway with a trap. Behind the trap, a chest may spawn, potentially yielding an Ancient Sword.

    Return to the northeastern platform and head to its western end. Descend the ramps to the sandy ground to encounter Urutan-Yensa.
Tips
  • Alraunes: These enemies can be farmed in the East Tanks. Zoning out twice (back through The Western Divide and to Windtrace Dunes, then returning) makes it easy to chain them. They drop Succulent Fruit (sells for 363G each, 35,937G per stack of 99) and Earth Stones.
  • Urutan-Yensa: These enemies vary in gear. Bow-wielding ones cast Blindna, Poisona, Silence, and Sleep. Sword-bearing ones use Tri-Attack. Unarmed ones use Dark Motes to cast Dark. They can drop Earth Stones, Phoenix Downs, and Earth Magicite. They are weak to Wind.
  • Pineapple (Rare Game): This Bomb-like creature has a chance to spawn when you enter the area. Its spawn point is random. It has over 4,000 HP, can inflict Oil status, and casts Reflect on itself.
  • Traps: Be vigilant for traps scattered throughout the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea. Using Libra can help detect them.
