Complete trophy guide for Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, covering general combat, exploration, chaining, loot, gil, and Clan Point trophies. Learn how to earn them all!

This guide covers the second set of trophies for Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, focusing on combat, exploration, loot acquisition, and general progression. Earning all these trophies will contribute significantly towards unlocking the coveted 'Champion of Ivalice' Platinum trophy.

Champion of Ivalice

This is the Platinum trophy, awarded for collecting all other trophies in the game. It requires a significant time investment, potentially over 100 hours, due to the difficulty or time-consuming nature of several other trophies. These include defeating every enemy type, learning all magicks and technicks, performing every Concurrence, fully exploring all maps, and completing Trial Mode.

General Combat/Exploration Trophies

These trophies are generally earned through natural gameplay progression. This includes actions like attacking, casting magicks, using technicks, stealing, defeating a large number of enemies, and traveling a significant distance. The 'Master Thief' trophy, requiring 50 successful steals, might require a conscious effort, but stealing from enemies throughout the game is highly recommended for acquiring loot.

  • Assault Striker — Used Attack 300 times.
  • Spellslinger — Cast Magicks 200 times.
  • Premier Prestidigitator — Used Technicks 100 times.
  • Master Thief — Successfully stole 50 times.
  • Blood Dancer — Defeated 500 foes.
  • Wayfarer — Took 50,000 steps.

The Unrelenting

This trophy is awarded for achieving a 50-chain in battle. A chain counter increases as you defeat enemies of the same species consecutively. The chain breaks if you enter a safe area, touch a Save/Gate Crystal, or defeat an enemy of a different species. Maintaining a chain increases the chance of obtaining better loot. Areas like Lhusu Mines (Shunia Twinspan), Ogir-Yensa Sandsea, Feywood (Mirrorknights), Stilshrine of Miriam (Dark Lords), and Henne Mines (Jellies, Abysteels) are recommended for chaining.

  • The Unrelenting — Completed a 50-chain in battle.

Loot/Gil Related Trophies

These trophies revolve around acquiring and spending in-game currency (gil) and selling loot. Most enemies drop loot upon defeat, which can be sold to vendors for gil. Stealing and the 'Poach' technick are alternative methods for acquiring loot. As you progress, you'll find loot that sells for more gil, making the acquisition trophies easier. Gil is spent on new equipment, items, magicks, technicks, and Bazaar bundles, some of which are very expensive.

  • Plunderer — Acquired 100,000 gil.
  • Spendthrift — Spent 1,000,000 gil.
  • Privateer — Sold 1,000 pieces of loot.

Record Breaker

This trophy is earned by accumulating 500,000 Clan Points (CP). CP are awarded for defeating monsters, with more powerful enemies and Rare Game/Hunts yielding higher amounts. Joining Clan Centurio in Rabanastre unlocks CP acquisition. This amount of CP is relatively achievable, especially when grinding for other trophies.

  • Record Breaker — Obtained 500,000 Clan Points.

Exemplar/Conqueror

These trophies require players to maintain an average party level of 50 or higher and earn 48,000 License Points (LP). The average party level is calculated by summing the levels of all six party members and dividing by six.
