Start the Hunt Club sidequest in final fantasy xii by defeating Thalassinon and collecting trophies for Bangaa. Rewards include Zodiac Spear and Ribbon.
- 1Make your way to the Phon Coast and speak to the Huntmaster at the Hunter’s Camp to begin the Hunt Club sidequest.
- 2Your first task is to defeat the nearby Thalassinon. Travel to the eastern end of the Hunters’ Camp to find the area transition leading to The Vaddu Strand.
- 3Fight your way to the eastern edge of the level, then proceed to a beach. Follow an earthen ramp uphill to the east, then south to reach a ledge overlooking the beach.
- 4Wait on the ledge until the large turtle beast, Thalassinon, appears on the beach below.
- 5Head back down the ramp and return to the beach to engage Thalassinon.
- 6Warning: Thalassinon is weak to ice and vulnerable to Sleep and Stop. You can inflict Sleep and pelt it with magick (it’s weak to Wind) or inflict Stop and kill it.
- 7Before defeating it, equip your Thief’s Gloves and steal Adamantite from Thalassinon.
- 8After defeating Thalassinon, you will receive a Shelled Trophy.
- 9Return to the Huntmaster with the trophy.
- 10Speak to the three Bangaa named Blok, Stok, and Atak. They will reveal there are another 30 Rare enemies that drop trophies.
- Thalassinon has a healthy supply of HP and can inflict Slow with physical attacks. Its magick includes Aerora, Aquara, Blizzara, Fira, Reflect, Thundara, and Watera. Its technicks include Meditate, Purify, Restore, Sonic Turn, and Stone Gaze.
- Thalassinon can cure itself of negative status effects, but is vulnerable to Sleep and Stop.
- Adamantite is a rare and valuable item needed for various Bazaar bundles.
- Collecting all 30 Trophy Rare Game enemies is necessary for the Scrivener trophy.
Turning in trophies to the Bangaa Blok, Stok, and Atak yields various rewards. If one Bangaa receives 16 or more trophies, they will give a greater reward. Otherwise, they give a lesser reward.
- Greater Rewards (16+ trophies to one Bangaa):
- Atak: Zodiac Spear
- Blok: Zodiac Escutcheon

- Lesser Rewards (15 or fewer trophies to one Bangaa):
