Damdara Region

Explore the Damdara Region in Dragon Quest III, finding treasures like the Dragon Robe and facing enemies like the Living Statue.

From the Craggy Cave, head west along the mountain range to find a secret spot by a poisonous swamp. Search the two chests in the northwest for a Dragon Robe and a Dragon Scale. Continue northwest to find Sparkly Spot #254, which contains 617 Gold, an Assassin's Dagger, and a Fur Vest. Enter the poisonous swamp to the south to find Sparkly Spot #255, yielding a Seed of Magic, two Seeds of Stamina.

Proceed south to the coast and follow it southeast. You will find Sparkly Spot #256 just before a bridge, containing two Medicinal Herbs and a Seed of Defence.

Go directly east from Sparkly Spot #256 to find a secret spot on a peninsula along the eastern coast. Search the pot near the north for a Spirit Bracer. Use Ra's Mirror on the person in the center of the map to reveal the friendly monster Green Dragon (also known as Green Giant).

Head south until you find Sparkly Spot #257 east of some mountains. This spot contains two Angel Bells, a Silver Rosary, and a Full Plate Armour.

Travel west until you reach a bridge. Cross it and head southwest until you find Sparkly Spot #258 by the coast. This location holds two Strong Medicines, three Antidotal Herbs, and two Seeds of Strength.

Go east into the desert to find Sparkly Spot #259 near the northern mountains. It contains a Leather Hat, Leather Armour, and two Magic Waters.

East of this location is the town of Damdara.

Southwest from Damdara, in the middle of the desert, is Sparkly Spot #260, containing two Holy Waters, two Dazzle-Me-Nots, and a Leather Kilt.

Continue west to find a third secret spot. Search the two chests in the southeast for a Scourge Whip and Rabbit Ears. In the center of the area, use a Fading Jenny to find the friendly monster Chimaera (also known as Polly).

Follow the southern mountains west then south to find Sparkly Spot #261, containing an Unsealant, two Chimaera Wings, and a Mercury's Bandana (also known as Bat Out of Hell).

Follow the coastline southeast to find Sparkly Spot #262, containing two Moonwort Bulbs and a Seed of Agility.

• Living Statue (Material): 195 HP, 0 MP, 140 Attack, 40 Defence, 29 Agility. Grants 1,992 EXP and 26 Gold. Drops Earthenwear. Abilities include Attack, Desperate Attack, and Regens 44-56 HP.
• She-Slime (Slime): 6 HP, 0 MP, 18 Attack, 6 Defence, 7 Agility. Grants 8 EXP and 3 Gold. Drops a Medicinal Herb. Abilities include Attack.
• Umbra (Elemental): 130 HP, 30 MP, 105 Attack, 60 Defence, 80 Agility. Grants 1,886 EXP and 38 Gold. Drops a Seed of Wisdom. Abilities include Attack, Sweet Breath, and Whack.
• Chimaera (Bird): 80 HP, 0 MP, 120 Attack, 70 Defence, 68 Agility. Grants 257 EXP and 16 Gold. Drops a Chimaera Wing. Abilities include Attack, Desperate Attack, Fire, Fire Breath, and Flame Breath.
