A complete guide to the Ghost Ship in Dragon Quest III, including treasure locations, enemy encounters, and how to find this elusive vessel.
Walkthrough
- 1The Ghost Ship typically spawns after acquiring the Boatman's Bone. To make it appear, save and reload your game in Portoga; it often spawns east of the town. Check your map to locate it and sail aboard. Ensure it is nighttime.
- 2Head to the northernmost part of the ship to find a barrel containing a Fading Jenny. You will also encounter the Friendly Monster Squidzilla (Inky) here.
- 3Proceed to the southern part of the ship and take the east stairs up. Search the pot to the east for Boxer Shorts.
- 4Return downstairs, then go west and south into a room. Search the barrel at the top right for a Silver Rosary.
- 5Descend the stairs to the west to reach Basement 1. Here you will find Olivia's lover, Eric.
- 6On Basement 1, navigate to the northern part of the ship. In a room, a drawer contains a Garter (Vamp). Cast Padfoot and head east to find the Friendly Monster Walking Corpse (Grim).
- 7Return south, past the stairs you descended, then go east into a Treasure Room. The chest at the bottom left is a Mimic. The other four chests contain: Poison Needle, Sizeable Scissors, Moonwort Bulb, and Cower Ring (Wimp).
- 8Search the barrels for Mini Medal #67. Finally, search the pots for 3,190 gold.
- 9Exit the Treasure Room and go south to the bedroom to find the final chest containing the Lover's Locket.
- 10After collecting all treasures, depart the Ghost Ship and head towards Olivia's Promontory.
