Lanson (Final Visit)

Guide your Hero or Sage through Lanson's final trial in Dragon Quest III. Learn how to prepare, find the Prayer Ring, and navigate Gaia's Navel.

Alright, we're heading back to Lanson for what feels like the final visit! Remember that big Shrine up north? We couldn't get in before, but now we can. Before we dive in, there are a couple of important things to note about this upcoming challenge.

Important Notes:

• This dungeon is a solo mission! Only your party leader will be going in. I really recommend using either the Hero or the Sage for this. They both have Healing magic, can use Evac to get out if needed, have pretty good gear options, and can hold their own in a fight.
• Seriously, stock up on 99 Medicinal Herbs. Trust me, this will make the whole trial way easier.

There are also a couple of rumors floating around that might be relevant:

• The Yellow Orb is apparently quite the traveler and tricky to pin down.
• That Merchant you left behind earlier? Keep them in mind, they might pop up again later in your quest.

Okay, back to Lanson. Head to the giant Shrine at the north end of town. The two side buildings have Chancellors who might offer some info, but we want to go through the central part of the Shrine. Find the Priest inside and answer "Yes" when they ask if you're ready to begin the challenge. They'll lead you north, and you'll come to a branching path.

Take the path to the east first. There's a chest there containing a Prayer Ring. Grab that, then head back and take the west path. This will lead you out of town and into Gaia's Navel. You're now entering the trial area!

Quick Exit: If you decide you're not ready or need to regroup, you can return to Lanson and gather your full party. Just remember you can come back here to start the trial when you're prepared.
