Dazed and Confused Walkthrough

After completing 'The Damned', you will receive a text from Mr. Hands about the Dazed and Confused side job. If you don't receive it immediately, try reloading your save.

Mr. Hands explains that Lina, a BD star, has been kidnapped and is being held at the Brainporium.

Fast Travel to the Golden Pacific terminal. Head northeast on the road, then turn right towards the Grand Azalea. Go between the two buildings, turn left, proceed forward, and turn left again to find stairs.

Go up the stairs and turn right outside to find a broken bridge. Jump onto the bridge and proceed towards the neon Brainporium sign.

Jump to the next bridge, then enter the building to your left to find Shank.

Optional: Help Tool. After accepting the job from Shank, return to the basement. In the cubicle next to Tool's, find a fan mail to Lina on the floor next to a heart-shaped pillow. This is the sentimental item needed to help Tool. This choice leads to a 'better' ending but means you miss out on the iconic melee weapon, Baby Boomer.

Find Lina's Apartment. Leave the Brainporium and Fast Travel to Kress Street. Go through the container and up the stairs. Lina's apartment is at the top of the orange stairs.

Deal with the Scavs. At the bottom of the stairs, Scavs will confront you. You can choose to 'Draw Weapon' or ask 'Does Lina Malina live here?'. If you have the Streetkid background, you can convince them to leave. Otherwise, you will have to fight them.

Once the Scavs are dealt with, head up the stairs and knock on Lina's door. She is not home.

Wait for Lina. Sit on the nearby lounger to wait for her. Before waiting, you can loot her apartment:

• Force the door if you have 15 Body.

Climb the ladder to the right and hack the shutter if you have 15 Technical.

Enter via a hatch on the roof for free.

When Lina arrives, you will have a choice: pay her 10,000 credits to join your BD venture or tell her the truth. Johnny Silverhand advises you to lie and pay the cash. Warning: If you do not pay the 10,000 credits, the JOB WILL FAIL. If you don't have the money immediately, you can tell her you'll wire it later, but the quest will not progress until you pay.

Lina and Tool Choices. Read the text message from Shank and wait until the next day. Check your phone again; Shank will inform you that Lina is at the Brainporium arguing with Tool.

Return to the Brainporium and sit in the 'director's chair' to continue the mission.
