Alright, so you've just finished up The Rescue and T-Bug's given you a new Side Job called The Gift. This is a pretty important one because it's how you'll snag your very first Quickhack, the super useful “Ping”. Let's get you set up with it.

    First things first, you'll need to head over to Kabuki. There's a Netrunner there named Yoko who has the Ping Quickhack. Just hop in a vehicle and make your way over.

    Once you find Yoko, you'll want to talk to her and purchase the Ping Quickhack. Good news – it's free, costing you €$0.

    With Ping now in your inventory, open up your menu, navigate to your Cyberdeck, and equip it.

    Now, look to the left of the counter where Yoko was. You'll see a camera there. Aim at it, hold down [L1/LB], and then select “Ping” from the Quickhack menu. This will help you locate the access point.

    Once you've found the access point, walk up to it and press [Square/X] to interact.

    You'll then see a code matrix pop up. To complete the hack, just pick the two numbers that are shown on the right side of the screen.
Tips
  • The Ping Quickhack is super handy for scouting out enemies and network access points without putting yourself in danger. Definitely make sure you get it early on!
  • Don't forget to equip the Quickhack to your Cyberdeck after purchasing it. You can't use it if it's just sitting in your inventory.
