Follow our walkthrough for The Street Kid prologue mission in Cyberpunk 2077. Get tips on dealing with Pepe, Kirk, and the Aerondight heist to progress the story.

Alright, so after that little… incident, you'll find yourself back with Pepe, the bartender. He's got his own problems, naturally, and he'll ask for your help. Just follow the yellow quest marker on your minimap – it's pretty straightforward and will lead you upstairs to a guy named Kirk.

You'll have a chat with Kirk, and it turns out you're going to do some work for him to clear Pepe's debt. This is where you get a crucial piece of gear for what's coming up. Once that's sorted, follow the quest marker again. It'll take you outside, down an alley, where you'll meet Padre. He's going to give you a ride to your next destination.

Enjoy the ride and the backstory Padre shares. You might get a timed dialogue option during a little interruption – you can either stay quiet or get a bit mouthy, but honestly, it doesn't really change the outcome. Padre will drop you off, and you'll part ways, but hey, you've made a new contact, which is always good in Night City.

Now, about that Aerondight heist… it seems to go pretty smoothly at first. You'll get into the car, but that's when things get complicated. You'll be interrupted a couple of times, and there will be a few timed dialogue choices. Don't stress too much about them; they don't really impact the major story beats here. It's all about establishing the pecking order, but ultimately, street connections run deep. You'll reconcile with the person who interrupts you and get some intel on Kirk, which should put Pepe's mind at ease.

After all that, the game will jump forward six months. You'll see some scenes, and then you'll be back in control, ready to start the main job called 'The Rescue'. But before you dive into that, Jackie's going to offer you a chance to go through a tutorial simulation called 'Practice Makes Perfect'. It's highly recommended you play through this; it's basically the game's tutorial, so it's a good way to get a feel for the mechanics.
