Complete the Beat on the Brat: On quest in cyberpunk 2077. Learn about the brawling fights, required subquests, and the final bout against Razor Hughes.
Walkthrough
- 1Speak to Coach Fred. You can either ignore him initially when he calls out to you in the gym of V’s apartment block, and he will message you the details, or you can speak to him directly.
- 2If you speak to him, he may ask you to spar with the Training Bot. Focus on blocking at the last moment to parry and land a few punches.
- 3After this, Coach Fred will offer the Side Job.
- 4To advance the main Beat on the Brat quest, you must complete the four associated side jobs: Beat on the Brat: Arroyo, Beat on the Brat: Kabuki, Beat on the Brat: Rancho Coronado, and Beat on the Brat: The Glen. It is recommended to save Beat on the Brat: Rancho Coronado for last.
- 5After completing the four subquests and the Transmission quest, Coach Fred will message you about your next challenger.
- 6Head to the Grand Imperial Mall in Pacifica and wait on a bench until the appointed time. A woman will rouse you.
- 7Head into the gym at the back of the GIM. This location is cleared of riff-raff after the Transmission quest, making it suitable for the final bout.
- 8Talk to Coach Fred to learn about your opponent, Razor Hughes, a professional boxer equipped with advanced cyberware.
- 9Coach Fred will offer you the option to throw the fight for more eddies, with the promise of not having to complete the fight.
Tips
- Investing in the Body attribute, specifically the Athletics and Street Brawler skill trees, will make these fights significantly easier. Perks like Steel and Bone, Like a Butterfly, Crushing Blows, Flurry, Human Fortress, Biding Time, Rush, and Efficient Blows are particularly helpful.
- Invest in Gorilla Arms (the more powerful, the better) and try to acquire mods for them, especially those that inflict damage-over-time like Bleed or Burn.
- A Sandevistan operating system is highly recommended, even though many other tools are restricted during these fights. The Sandevistan will require a Reflexes investment depending on the model.
- A combination of Gorilla Arms, a Sandevistan, and investing in Body will make these fights much easier.
- Armor score does not seem to significantly impact melee combat in these fights.
