The Pickup

At the start of the job, you have two objectives: Meet With Jackie or Call Militech Agent Meredith Stout. Meeting Meredith first offers more options later and alters the job's ending.

To call Meredith, hold the [Down] button on your D-Pad and select her. Drive to her location.

During the timed dialog choices with Meredith, answer satisfactorily to avoid a game over.

Meredith will offer you a credchip to pay Maelstrom for the Flathead, but she is not trustworthy. This payment is €$10,000 if you don't use her chip.

If you received the Militech Datashard from Meredith, you can investigate it in your menu under “Shards”.

The datashard has malware. To appease Meredith and help her track the convoy, leave the malware untouched. To save money and potentially betray her, select the shard and press [Square] to attempt to breach its security and remove the malware.

Meet Jackie. If you are a Nomad, you can comment on his new ride and make a Tech 6 check.

Follow Jackie to All Foods and use the intercom to enter the Maelstrom stronghold. Follow Jackie through security, looting as you go.

Ride the elevator to meet Dum Dum.

During the confrontation with Dum Dum, if you remain silent during the timed dialog, hostilities will begin. To continue negotiating, select [Calm Jackie] “Jackie, sit down.”.

After Dum Dum demonstrates the Flathead, you can make an inconsequential Tech 6 check.

When you agree to take the bot, V will mention Brick, angering Royce.

To deal with Royce, you must respond during timed dialog. Your options depend on whether you met Meredith:

• [Show Militech shard] “Eddies’re right here.” (Requires meeting Meredith and having the shard)

Regardless of your choice, Royce will insult Dexter DeShawn.
