The Armadillo clothing mod is crucial for maximizing your defensive capabilities in cyberpunk 2077. While it doesn't have a fixed spawn location, you have a good chance of finding one by diligently looting during NCPD Hustles, Gigs, or Side Jobs.

Walkthrough

   Acquire the Crafting Spec: Find the crafting spec for the Armadillo mod. This can be found as loot from NCPD Hustles, Gigs, or Side Jobs.

   Craft Armadillo Mods: Once you have the spec, you can craft Armadillo mods using 7x Common Components and 2x Uncommon Components. This cost can be reduced further with perks in the Crafting skill tree. The components are inexpensive, with items like soda costing only €$10 from vendors.

   Understand Crafting Rarity: Despite the crafting icon, crafting an Armadillo mod has a random chance to yield common, uncommon, or rare versions. Rare mods provide approximately 50% more Armor than common ones. Crafting around twenty mods should yield enough rare versions to fill several armor slots.

   Scrap Excess Mods: Unused common and uncommon mods can be scrapped to recover most of the crafting components. You may even see a net gain in uncommon mods without investing in the Crafting skill tree.

   Armor Scaling: The Armor value of each Armadillo mod scales with your character's level. At around level twenty-five, rare Armadillo mods can provide about 100 Armor each, even with minimal investment in Technical Ability or the Crafting skill tree.

   Maximize with Legendary Armor: For the highest Armor values, apply Armadillo mods to legendary armor. Legendary armor pieces can have up to 4 mod slots (torso) or 3 mod slots (other types), allowing for a maximum of twenty mod slots. At level twenty-five, this could result in over 2,000 Armor from mods alone, plus base armor, attributes, perks, and cyberwear, potentially exceeding 2,500 Armor.

   Level Up and Recraft: As you level up to fifty, recraft new Armadillo mods to ensure they remain scaled to your current level for maximum effectiveness.

   Obtain Legendary Armor: Legendary armor pieces spawn in static locations throughout the world. Most are found outside of Watson, requiring travel after completing "The Heist."

   Check Legendary Armor Mod Slots: Legendary armor quality is variable. In addition to scaling to your level, it can randomly spawn with 0-4 mod slots. Save your game near a legendary armor spawn point, pick it up, and if it doesn't have the desired number of mod slots (4 for torso, 3 for others), reload your save and try again until you get a piece with sufficient slots.

Tips

• Stacking several rare Armadillo mods in legendary armor can make you nearly invulnerable to most damage.
• Melee attacks can still be very damaging, and Armor does not affect Resistance to other damage types.
