An apartment near the Glen Apartment fast travel in The Glen, Heywood, also contains a Roach Race cabinet, but it costs €$40,000 to rent.
Walkthrough
- 1Guide Roach across the screen, avoiding hazards like pits, fences, griffons, and crows. Contact with any hazard results in game over.
- 2Progress through stages starting from 1-1, advancing to 1-2, 1-3, and so on. Clearing all stages leads to stage 2-1.
- 3Hazards become more dangerous in later stages, with crows appearing in 1-2, griffons flying lower in 1-3, and moving diagonally in 1-4. Roach also moves faster after each world reset (e.g., 2-1, 3-1).
- 4Avoid hazards by jumping (press the jump button, double jump by pressing again in midair) and glitching (press jump a third time in midair to appear on the ground with temporary invulnerability). Glitching has a cooldown.
- 5Collect apples for +20 points and carrots, which increase Roach's point accumulation rate and cause Roach to move bipedally.
- 6Stringing together carrot pickups can significantly boost your score.
Tips
- Stay on the ground as much as possible, as most hazards cannot hit you there. Only the crow's lowest descent can kill Roach.
- Vault over pits and barriers when necessary.
- Use the glitch ability when in a pinch, especially when jumping over obstacles and a flying hazard spawns.
