I Walk the Line

Exit Batty’s Hotel and make your way to the parking lot in front of the Grand Imperial Mall (GIM), southwest of your location.

Follow the quest trail to the mall's loading area. You'll encounter three Animals gangers. You can either dispatch them or sneak past them by going wide to the left.

Proceed up a ramp to another lot where two groups of gangers await. Wait for the closest two to leave on bikes, then deal with the remaining group of three. Two will get in a car and drive off, leaving one to go up some stairs.

You can ignore the ganger who went upstairs. Head through a hole in a smashed garage door to enter the GIM.

Once inside, turn left and climb objects to reach the upper level.

To proceed deeper into the GIM:

• Option A (Stealth/Combat): Go through a hallway with a camera and a ganger. The ganger will move if you wait, and the camera can be disabled (though this may alert the netrunner). Beyond this hallway is a large room with about half a dozen gangers. Use cover and Reboot Optics, or shoot out a window with a silenced weapon. Be wary of a ganger lifting weights in the corner; you can go around him via a railing and stairs, or use Reboot Optics. Avoid or dispatch two more gangers upstairs and head through a doorway to the left to reach the lobby.

Option B (Attribute Checks/Alternative):

• Use the locked door [Technical Ability 10] found opposite the ganger on the stairs.

Use a sealed door [Body 10] found to the right in the hallway leading to the gym area.

If you have Reinforced Tendons or double jump, return to the garage door you entered through and look up and to the right to spot a window you can reach.

If using Option B, go up some stairs and through double doors to the left to reach the lobby. A container in the room the sealed door leads to may drop a legendary item.

Once in the lobby, head towards the van, which is on the floor about 50 meters away.

To reach the van stealthily: Head down the walkway on the right side of the lobby, dispatch two gangers, and hide their bodies. Continue along the upper floor walkway until a fork, turn left, then right to reach the front of the mall. Cross the bridge, continue forward, and descend stairs that lead directly in front of the van.

Jack in to the van and talk to Placide to update your objective.
