Complete the Cabbage Thief free form quest in kingdom come deliverance ii. Turn in Sauerkraut Pepa for a reward of 789 groschen.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Speak to Bailiff Thrush in Troskowitz and ask him "What's new?" to learn about stolen cabbage. This will mark a Grocer's location south of Troskowitz on your map.
  2. 2
Go to the marked Grocer during the day and speak to a male Peasant working nearby. Inquire about the robbery to learn the location of the cabbage patch.
  3. 3
Find the pilfered cabbage patch northeast of the farm house. Follow the loose heads of cabbage southeast to a road, then continue following the trail south, southwest, and west from the patch.
  4. 4
The trail will lead you into the woods to the southwest. Continue past a fork, exit the woods onto an east-west road, and follow it west.
  5. 5
Look for a bridge leading south to Nebakov Fortress. Continue west and watch for a less obvious path leading south to your left (south). You will find a cabbage in tall foliage marking this path.
  6. 6
Follow this path south, crossing two shallow streams. After the second stream, continue following the trail, which will transition from beaten dirt to trampled grass.
  7. 7
The fading trail leads to a rocky stream. Follow this stream south and southeast until you find a small, three-log bridge.
  8. 8
Cross the bridge to find a wagon full of cabbage. Further east and northeast, near white stone cliffs, you will find Sauerkraut Pepa.

Choice: Turn Sauerkraut Pepa in or Let Him Go

  1. Speak to Sauerkraut Pepa. He admits to stealing cabbage to make sauerkraut and offers you some.
  2. You have several choices:
    • Pick a fight with Sauerkraut Pepa. He will fight back but is not a skilled combatant. He has little loot. Returning to Bailiff Thrush afterward will not allow you to mention killing Pepa; you will receive a reward as if the thief is still at large.
    • Tell Sauerkraut Pepa you plan to turn him in. He will not resist.
    • Let Sauerkraut Pepa go, then either keep your promise or tell Bailiff Thrush about him anyway.
  3. If you turn Sauerkraut Pepa in to Bailiff Thrush, you will receive a reward of 789 groschen.
  4. If you let him go, Sauerkraut Pepa will offer to make more sauerkraut for you. He will give you some to start and more if you bring him cabbages. He requires cabbages with sufficient Freshness (refused at 50 Freshness for us). The cabbage trail respawns.
  5. Pepa's Sauerkraut provides +2 Nourishment, heals +10 Health, does not spoil, and is weightless. It sells for a few groschen but is not the best way to make money compared to turning Pepa in.
Tips
  • If you don't have a few hours to spare for following the cabbage trail, rest until morning.
  • If you are after money, turning Sauerkraut Pepa in to Bailiff Thrush is the most profitable option.
  • Pepa's Sauerkraut is a weightless, imperishable healing item.
