The Thunderstone Quest Walkthrough

To begin The Thunderstone Quest, travel to the village of Grund in the northeast of the Kuttenburg region. Speak to Innkeeper Grosch in the tavern and ask him what's new to hear a rumor about the blacksmith's wife cheating. This will place a quest marker west of the tavern.

Go to the marker opposite the tavern and speak to Kona. Tell her the rumor; she will explain it's untrue and that the issue is with a special stone called the Thunderstone, which Thomlin Bruthans from Horschan sometimes wagers in fistfights.

Agree to help Kona. You can ask her what she needs the stone for, which may involve a persuasion check to gain reputation. She suggests speaking to her husband, Zdimir, or heading to Horshan to find Thomlin.

Travel to Horschan, west of Grund. Head to the farm on the west side of town to find Thomlin. Tell him you are looking for the Thunderstone. You can also ask about fights to start the 'Fight Dirty' task.

Thomlin will state he no longer wagers the stone. If you ask to see it, you can pass a persuasion check to have him show it to you. You will notice it is not the real Thunderstone.

Pass a scholarship check (requires at least 14 scholarship) to have Thomlin admit it's fake and reveal that Hensel and Peter from Raborsch likely stole the real one.

Travel to Raborsch. Find Peter near the village entrance tending to cabbages. Tell him you are looking for the Thunderstone. He will mention they've had trouble since stealing it and that Hensel has the stone. Peter explains they wanted to butcher Andrew Ramhead and his pillagers, but the plan failed, and Andrew has Hensel captive with the stone.

If you tell Peter you really need the stone, he will mention it's cursed, prompting a speech check. If you have at least 14 scholarship, you can pass this by telling him it's a blessing and ask for Andrew's camp location.

Peter will give you directions to Andrew's camp. Leave Raborsch via the northeast and follow the road north through the forest alongside the stream. Continue north and go up a hill to your left. It is recommended to save your game here.

Wait until 1-2 AM, drink a Nighthawk potion, and proceed north through the forest, staying close to the cliff edge. Keep an eye to the right to find the camp across the stream. You need to make sure Mutt stays at the top of the hill.
