Hunger and Despair Quest Walkthrough

Bring Capon Something to Eat: You have two main options to find food for Capon. You can either find wine or make shoe soup.

Getting Wine: Locate the room opposite Henry's room. Inside, pick the Medium difficulty chest to find Wine. Return it to Hans. This is a non-meat option, useful for the Lent Trophy/Achievement.

Making Shoe Soup: Speak to Musa near the gate and exhaust dialogue options until he mentions making soup from laces. Agree to this to get the objective. Go to Lady Frenzl's room (before Henry's room) and pick the Hard difficulty chest to find Lambskin shoes. Return to Musa, and he will make two portions of shoe soup. Give one to Hans.

Get the Enemies off the Walls: After some scenes, defend the castle from a raid. Equip a Polearm to push ladders away. Deal with any soldiers already on the walls, then push down ladders. Use Hans's cover to break down a tower door, kill the soldiers inside, and then repeat the process on the rear walls.

Hans and Katherine Romance Scenes: In the evening, volunteer to deliver a message to Jobst. After regaining control, use Quick Reply to Zizka to learn about Katherine's backstory. To trigger a romance scene:

• For Hans: Find him in his room and choose the 'Kiss Him' option.

For Katherine: Ensure you have heard Zizka's backstory. Choose 'I’ll bring help, and everything will be alright again.' Then, go to the walls, choose to wait on your makeshift bed, and Katherine will appear.
