Speech is crucial for interacting with NPCs in medieval Bohemia, influencing conversations, and unlocking unique opportunities. A higher Speech skill also allows for better haggling with merchants, potentially saving you significant amounts of Groschens on items like Skill Books. The most impactful use of Speech is its ability to bypass certain objectives entirely through dialogue or by creating new avenues to exploit.

Perks associated with Speech offer powerful benefits, such as intimidating opponents, increasing the value of sold goods, and securing discounts. Reading books also contributes to Speech XP, making the study of Skill Books a dual benefit for both Scholarship and Speech.

Leveling Speech

Speech is one of the easier skills to level in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, primarily gaining XP through conversations. To accelerate leveling:

• Haggle: Always attempt to haggle when buying from merchants, even for small savings, as successful haggles grant increased XP.
• Speech Checks: Successfully completing any Speech skill checks (indicated by a mouth icon) provides a substantial XP boost.
• Reading Books: Reading Skill Books, whether purchased or found, increases Speech XP alongside Scholarship XP.

Skill Trainers are another method for leveling Speech. Each rank has a cost in Groschens:
