Necessary Evil Quest Walkthrough

Head to the Torture Chamber: After talking with Hans Capon about the situation, make your way to the torture chamber. You'll find it by going up the stairs just before you reach Kabat. Your goal is to get answers from the captive.

Interrogate the Prisoner: Select the following dialogue options to extract information:

Leave and Report: Once you have all the information, head outside. You'll lose a bit of reputation, which is expected. Choose the dialogue option “Let’s keep quiet about Semine.” Return to Lord Von Bergow and update him on the situation.

Travel to Semine: Speak with Hans Capon again and choose “I’ll wait with you.” Follow the men on horseback to Semine's Estate.

Choose a Side: Upon arrival at Semine, Burgrave Hashek will present a situation. You'll have opportunities to deescalate, but a fight will break out regardless. You must choose to side with either Semine (“Nothing is going to burn!”) or Von Bergo (“I’m on your side”). We recommend sticking with Von Bergo.

Defeat Semine's Men: After choosing your side, you'll need to take out Semine’s Men. The quickest way to do this is to team up on one enemy at a time.

Find Olda: Olda has been missing during the commotion. Head into the tower and make your way to the top floor. You'll find him hiding in a corner.

Conclude the Quest: After a brief conversation with Olda, choose the dialogue option “You’ll be tried.” You will then return to Trosky and meet with Lord Von Bergow in the morning, which will conclude the quest.
