Walkthrough
- 1Start: You begin outside Suchdol in the evening. The main objective is to find horses and ride to Jobst. However, to get the 'Face to Face' trophy, you need to infiltrate the Tavern.
- 2Infiltration (Tavern): Change into stealth gear, equip a dagger, and consider a Nighthawk potion. From your starting position, head southeast towards the village. Sneak past the barricade and soldiers, go around a burnt-down house, and pick the lock (Very Easy) on a door.
- 3Inside the Tavern (First Area): Go upstairs to the attic, open a basket for Dried salami and Pretzels. Take the ladder down on the southeast side.
- 4Alleyway: Head south, then through a door. Be cautious of two patrolling soldiers in the alley. Stealth kill them and hide their bodies. The front entrance to the Tavern grounds is too guarded; use the back route.
- 5Back Entrance: Go around the back of the building and cross a wall on your right to reach the Tavern grounds. Distract the soldier near the back gate with a stone, then quickly climb the ladder to the barn.
- 6Inside the Barn: Climb down the ladder. If a soldier blocks the northwest path, lure him away with a stone. Enter the Tavern grounds. The door you need is on your right, near the front gate, but it's locked (Very Hard).
- 7Gaining Entry to Tavern: If your Thievery skill is high enough or you have Quickfinger potions, pick the lock. Otherwise, wait for the soldier by the campfire, then either pickpocket him for keys or kill him and loot them.
- 8Confronting Markvart: Once inside the Tavern, enter the room on your left. You will confront Markvart von Aulitz, unlocking the 'Face to Face' trophy. You have a choice: kill him immediately or leave him to die from his injuries. Killing him allows immediate looting; leaving him means dealing with him later.
- 9Finding Sam (Optional): Before leaving the Tavern room, search the locked chests for strong equipment. To find Sam, open your map and head southwest to two Smokehouses. Sam is held in the barn southwest of the lower Smokehouse.
