A Sinful Soul Quest Walkthrough

Start the A Sinful Soul Task: This task is initiated by completing The Hermit side quest from the Blacksmith. You must have finished 'The Blacksmith's Son' and 'The Jaunt' first. Progress through The Hermit until you meet the hermit in Apollonia. Agree to fulfill Ambrose's last wish for him, which will begin 'A Sinful Soul'.

Give the Woman the Cross: Locate the widow, Margaret, in Troskowitz. She can be found walking in the town center earlier in the day, or at the Troskowitz Cemetery later. Go to the Troskowitz Cemetery for the next steps. Speak to Margaret and tell her you bring her absolution, then hand over the cross given by the hermit. She will explain that her absolution requires putting her husband's bones to rest. Be considerate in your dialogue choices to potentially receive a better reward.

Dig a Grave and Get the Remains from the Dead Man’s Grave: Ensure you have a Spade. Head to the east side of the cemetery's outer wall to find flowers. Examine the flowers to locate the grave containing the remains. Return to the cemetery and find the other grave near Margaret. Interact with this grave to dig it, then place the remains inside. Speak to Margaret one last time.
