Walkthrough
  1. 1
The quest starts automatically west of Bozhena's Hut after the prologue.
  2. 2
Head west of Bozhena's Hut to the objective area. You'll encounter a Vagabond; defeat him and examine the area where he stood. You'll find signs that it's not Mutt.
  3. 3
Return to the Herbwoman near Bozhena's Hut and ask if she's seen Mutt. This opens two objectives.
  4. 4
The most direct route is to go to Vidlak Pond (northwest of Zhelejov Wagoner's Inn) and speak to the Fisherman on the northeast side.
  5. 5
The Fisherman will mention Siegfried the Shepherd and Huntsman Vostatek, and a wolf pack near Rocktower Pond.
  6. 6
    You have two main choices:
    • Go to Siegfried to help with his sheep problem. This will eventually lead you to Mutt's location.
  7. 7
Go to Huntsman Vostatek. You can accept the Lackey Side Quest from his wife, Zlata. This is a longer quest but offers good rewards. After completing it, ask Vostatek about Mutt. He will reveal the wolf pack's location.
  8. 8
Regardless of the path taken, you'll be directed to the cliffs above Rocktower Pond before dusk. Prepare for a fight.
  9. 9
Make your way to the Nomad Camp and take the path south to the rocks where the wolf pack is rumored to be. A cutscene will trigger, revealing Mutt.
  10. 10
You will then need to fight the wolf pack. You'll receive a tutorial on using Mutt in combat. Keep your distance and use parries (watch for the shield icon) to counter-attack.
  11. 11
After dealing with some wolves, speak to Mutt to engage in a conversation, ending the quest.
Tips
  • Leveling the Houndsmaster skill will make fighting alongside Mutt much easier.
  • When fighting wolves, focus on parrying their attacks and then counter-attacking to conserve stamina and avoid damage.
  • Fleeing the wolf fight is possible but difficult, as the wolves will pursue you.
  • It is not necessary to defeat every wolf in the final encounter.
  • Reunion with Mutt.
  • Potential rewards from side quests taken along the way (e.g., Lackey Side Quest from Zlata).
