Beyond The Grave Quest Walkthrough

Starting the Quest: First things first, you need to find Rat. She's usually hanging around The Hole in the Wall Tavern. If you've already done the "Feast for the Poor" quest, she'll be there. Chat with her, and she'll tell you about needing a seal from a recently deceased mine owner.

Finding the Seal's Location: Your next destination is the Sedletz Monastery, which is northeast of Kuttenberg. Before you head out, it's a really good idea to visit the Apothecary and grab some "Strong Quickfinger Potions." These will be super helpful for bypassing some of those tricky locks later on. Once you arrive at the monastery, look for Brother Morticius. He's usually sitting by a grave. Talk to him, and agree to help him out. This will kick off another quest, "Thou Art But Dust," which is necessary to get you into the crypt.

Inside the Crypt: After you've got permission to enter, head into the nearby building. You'll see a trapdoor right in the middle of the room. Interact with it to drop down into the crypt. Once you're down there, make your way through the southern doorway. You're looking for some exposed bricks in the wall. Interact with those bricks, and you'll reveal the miners' tomb. Here's the catch: the seal isn't inside. This means our friend, Gravedigger Lenek, probably has it on him.

Robbing the Gravedigger: If you want to get that seal without too much trouble, your best bet is to pickpocket Lenek while he's sleeping. His house is located northwest of the Monastery. Before you go in, make sure to change into something less noisy – you don't want to wake him up! Then, you'll want to pass the time until nightfall. Once it's dark, save your game. This is crucial in case things go wrong. Now, pop one of those "Quickfinger Potions" you bought earlier. Slowly approach his bed and start the pickpocketing mini-game. You've got a limited window here, and honestly, he doesn't have the most valuable stuff on him. So, focus on grabbing that seal, which is usually in the bottom right of his inventory, and get out of there quickly.

Quest Rewards: With the seal in hand, head back to The Hole in the Wall Tavern and give it to Rat. This will wrap up the "Beyond The Grave" quest, and you'll earn yourself 250 Groschen. Nice!
