Versatility

  • Gain a stack of versatility when you use an attack different from your previous one. Attack types include single-shot, melee attack, area melee, area ranged, and ranged burst.
  • Each stack grants +3 Weapon Skill and Ballistic Skill.
  • With 4 or more stacks, you deal additional damage equal to the higher of +(10 + WS bonus)% or +(10 + BS bonus)%.
  • Note: The Warrior's Charge ability does not count towards Versatility.

Abilities:

  • Cautious Approach (0 AP, 1 round cooldown): Grants the cautious approach effect until combat ends or the ability is used again. Instead of normal Versatility bonuses, gain +5% dodge and parry per stack. With 4+ stacks, remove and become immune to slowed, blinded, bleeding, burning, toxin, stunned, and prone effects.
  • Confident Approach (0 AP, 1 round cooldown): Grants the confident approach effect until combat ends or the ability is used again. Instead of normal Versatility bonuses, gain +3% dodge reduction and parry reduction, and ignore 3% of enemy (cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects)) for each stack. All attacks are critical hits, but critical damage bonus is halved. With 4+ stacks, attacks deal maximum damage.
  • Devastating Attack (1 AP, 1 round cooldown): Your next attack, if it hits, forces a Toughness resistance test with a penalty equal to -(2 x the higher of your BS bonus or WS bonus). Failure results in a debuff based on damage type: Impact damage knocks the target prone for 1 round; Piercing and rending damage inflicts bleeding and slowed until end of combat; All other damage inflicts blinded until end of combat. Power swords and power axes count as both energy and rending; power hammers count as both energy and impact. Combined damage types benefit from each additional effect.
  • Kick (1 AP, 1 round cooldown): Deals (TGH bonus + STR bonus) damage instead of weapon damage to one enemy within a 1-cell radius. Does not count towards attack limit per turn and counts as a single melee attack for Versatility. Cannot be parried and pushes the target 2 cells away.
  • Reckless Rush (1 AP, 1 round cooldown): Immediately gain (3 + your AGI bonus) MP. If you have Versatility stacks, gain +3 stacks until the end of your turn.
  • Wildfire (3 AP, 1 round cooldown): Your next attack this turn costs 0 AP and does not count towards the attack limit per turn. Cost reduced by -1 AP for every 4 Versatility stacks (minimum 1 AP).
  • Steady Superiority / Heroic Sacrifice (N/A, Once per combat): Until the end of combat, make one additional attack each turn (including the turn used). The first attack after using this ability and each subsequent turn costs 0 AP. As a Desperate Measure (Heroic Sacrifice), receive a -30 penalty to Toughness until end of combat and suffer bleeding. At 27th and 35th ranks, choose one upgrade: 1. Regain 20% maximum wounds the first time you reach 0 wounds. 2. Every attack grants a stacking +2% critical hit chance until end of combat. 3. Attacks do not spend all MP, and each grants a stacking +5% dodge for 1 round. 4. Allows use of both this archetype's heroic act and the Warrior or Soldier archetype's heroic act in a single combat.
