Complete the "Spiders in a Jar" quest in "Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader" by investigating the Ice World and exploring Mundus Nullius.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Make your way back to Hundred Dreams Crossroads.
  2. 2
Investigate the Ice World in Adermatt II.
  3. 3
Continue to Telikos Epsilon and then to Silence of Mer-Segrit.
  4. 4
From Silence of Mer-Segrit, proceed to Langrenn's Belt to find a voidship weapon and a void station to loot.
  5. 5
From Langrenn's Belt, open warp routes to Nameless Star, Forgotten Twins, and Mu-Rho 79.
  6. 6
In the Nameless Star system, gather Adamantine and explore the Ancient Bunker.
  7. 7
Advance Yrliet's companion quest in the Forgotten Twins system.
  8. 8
Return to Langrenn's Belt and proceed to Mu-Rho 79 to find an Explorator Void Station where you can trade Fuel for other cargo.
  9. 9
If you have the Void Shadows (DLC (downloadable content — extra missions or items released after launch)), fight some ships.
  10. 10
From Mu-Rho 79, open a warp route to Latotian's Passage and explore unidentified ruins for loot.
  11. 11
From Latotian's Passage, open a yellow route to Mundus Nullius.
  12. 12
If you have the Void Shadows (DLC), approach Captain Sargona's fleet near the edge of Mundus Nullius and ask Ravor for a tactical report.
  13. 13
Ravor suggests destroying the enemy frigate's escorts before attacking the Heartless and attempting to board it.
  14. 14
You can speak to Sargona before hostilities commence.
  15. 15
Engage the Heartless, protected by a Shadow Shield, along with three Cobra-Class Destroyers.
  16. 16
After defeating the destroyers, deal a certain amount of damage to the Heartless to end the fight.
  17. 17
Ravor will suggest precision strikes to thin out enemy numbers.
  18. 18
You have the option to keep the Heartless later, but shooting it will make it more expensive to repair. For this walkthrough, board the vessel without further ado.
  19. 19
After the scenes, proceed along the upper deck to the elevator.
  20. 20
Grab loot from containers before heading through the door in the west.
  21. 21
Go up some stairs and use a cogitator to open a door in the lower bay.
  22. 22
The door to the north is blocked; use Demolition +15 to blow it up. A melta charge can be found in a container if needed.
  23. 23
Open the chest behind the blocked door to find the Crescendo combat shotgun, an Insulator Shield, and the Steel Talons cyber-eagle accessory.
  24. 24
Look for a vantage point to shoot a fuel pipe, killing enemies below (Ballistic Skill +15).
  25. 25
Head through the door to the south to find another fuel pipe to shoot.
  26. 26
    Spot a hidden control (Awareness +35) to connect a vid-screen (Tech-Use +35).
  27. 27
Use the vid-screen to view the ship's status (Logic +15) and learn about a small room hidden behind the elevators.
  28. 28
Unlock the nearby door (Tech-Use +15) and remove a trap from the room beyond to grab loot from a casket.
  29. 29
Head south down the corridor, clearing traps.
  30. 30
Go through doors to the west and south to find crates with minor loot.
  31. 31
Continue east to find enemies: two Cutters, seven Gunners, three Slashers, two Guards, and a Shock Trooper.
  32. 32
The Guards are tougher and equipped with shields.
  33. 33
Two Gunners, a Shock Trooper, and a Sniper are in the area to the north, accessible via a bridge that can be extended by interacting with a cogitator.
  34. 34
In the southern area, note the powered-down xenodevice.
  35. 35
Find a hidden control to restore power (Awareness +15).
  36. 36
    Restore power (Tech-Use +15).
  37. 37
Examine the creature in the nearby tank (Lore: Xenos +10) for XP.
  38. 38
Examine the powered-up device (Lore: Xenos +15) and make a Toughness (+15) check to view logs. You will take damage.
  39. 39
Make a Lore: Xenos (+15) check to open the spherical prison, revealing a desiccated corpse and unlocking the Slight Sting trophy.
  40. 40
Search the body for the Armour of Hidden Promise, a Dog Tag amulet, and the Life Emanations psyber-raven accessory.
  41. 41
Activate the bridge to the north if necessary and cross over to find a case containing the Overseer's Aquila accessory.
  42. 42
Make your way east, looking for a xenochest containing a pair of Gloves of Unbearable Torment and Xeno-Artefacts cargo.
  43. 43
Continue east, and Sargona will address you through a servo-skull.
  44. 44
    Choose to destroy the skull.
  45. 45
Look for a hidden control (Awareness +15) to open a secret vault.
  46. 46
Enter the vault and take minor loot from containers.
  47. 47
Examine the device at the end (Lore: Xenos -10) for XP.
  48. 48
    Follow the walkway south.
Tips
  • If your dealings with the Pilgrim in Adermatt II were civil, you can investigate the Ice World.
  • The Nameless Star system yields lots of Adamantine and has environmental storytelling in the Ancient Bunker.
  • If you have the Void Shadows (DLC), you will find ships to fight in Mu-Rho 79.
  • Shooting the Heartless will kill some enemies but make it more expensive to repair if you choose to keep it later.
  • You can find a melta charge in one of the containers near the blocked door to the north.
  • You can extend the bridge to the north by interacting with a cogitator.
  • Restoring power to the xenodevice allows you to examine the creature in the tank and view logs from the device.
  • Sargona will detonate the servo-skull, leaving you with a head trauma, if you explore his conversation options instead of destroying it.
