Complete the Taste of Victory mission in "Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader" by following this walkthrough. Includes combat tips and item locations.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Speak to the Master of Ceremonies to learn about the victory parade, including the burning of Aurora's remains and a stop for grateful citizens.
  2. 2
Board the waiting tank and proceed through the streets.
  3. 3
At the citizen stop, gifts will be presented. Aurora's remains will then announce the Final Dawn, and alien ships will appear.
  4. 4
You will face seven Anointed Cultists, seven Acolyte Cultists, two Firestarting Cultists, and a Leader of Cultists. More enemies appear on turn two. Idira will be affected by Psychosomatic Trauma and be useless for the first round. Avoid moving through purple clouds as they cause damage. Beware of enemies using Dark Prayer.
  5. 5
After the fight, Vigdis will hail you. You can choose to save survivors (Iconoclast) or leave them (Heretical). If you save them, Pilot Raquel will meet you at the starport with Jaspar.
  6. 6
Exit to the eastern side of the Upperway and follow the walkway east. The creature from Aurora will taunt you.
  7. 7
Continue east and you will be attacked by four Anointed Cultists, two Acolyte Cultists, a Firestarter Cultist, a Leader of Cultists, and three Chaos Spawns. Two Spawns are down stairs to the south. Target Spawns with weakening abilities like blinding and stunning.
  8. 8
Head down stairs to the north, go east, then up stairs to the south. The spirit from Aurora will taunt you again.
  9. 9
Continue south down steps and exit to the starport.
  10. 10
Head south and be ambushed by a Rebel Agitator, three Rebel Gunners, and two Sharpshooter Rebels. This fight involves six traps between you and the enemies.
  11. 11
If you have the Lex Imperialis DLC: You will face 3 Bruiser Rebels, 3 Ripper Rebels, 16 Rebel Gunners, a Sharpshooter Rebel, a Rebel Agitator, and a Chaos Cultist. After killing some enemies, Solomorne, Glaito, and three Arbitrators will arrive. The Chaos Cultist transforms into a Screamer of Tzeentch (Wounds: 158, Deflection: 0, Armour: 35%, Dodge: 75%, MP: 8, WS: 40, BS: 20, STR: 40, TGH: 45, AGI: 35, INT: 20, PER: 20, WP: 35, FEL: 20; Abilities: Warp Scream, Warp Creature, Manifestation; Melee Weapon: Lamprey Bite, Damage: 12-20, Penetration: 45%).
  12. 12
After the fight, explore Solomorne's conversation options. He may ask for a ride on your shuttle.
  13. 13
You can pick up a Hot Shot Laspistol.
  14. 14
Head west across a bridge and loot a dead body for a Plasma Gun (a modest upgrade for Pasqal) and a Stronghold shield.
  15. 15
    Continue north towards the shuttles.
  16. 16
If playing on Daring difficulty or higher, make a hard save for a missable trophy.
  17. 17
You will reach your destination. Sergeant Malgar and his troops will be present, working through the governor and his cronies.
  18. 18
Speak to Malgar. He explains the governor's plan to flee. After he murders the governor, you can attempt a Persuasion (+45) check to talk him down. If you have Dogmatic - Follower, you can demand whether he serves Humanity or its foes.
  19. 19
Aurora appears as a Chaos Space Marine (Wounds: 317).
Tips
  • Veil degradation starts at 10 in some upcoming fights, increasing the chance of psychic phenomena and perils of the Warp, especially with Idira.
  • Be careful of moving through purple clouds during combat, as they cause damage.
  • If you have the Void Shadows DLC and the Missionary Oath trinket, equip it on a Grand Strategist party member and have all other party members stand adjacent to them. The Grand Strategist can use the ability to grant all other party members an extra turn. Note that the item is bugged and requires unequipping and re-equipping to use again.
  • When fighting the Rebel Agitator, Rebel Gunners, and Sharpshooter Rebels, be aware of the six traps in the area.
  • If you have the Lex Imperialis DLC, the fight against the rebels is significantly different and involves a Screamer of Tzeentch.
  • If playing on Daring difficulty or higher, make a hard save before reaching the shuttles to avoid missing a trophy.
