Explore Sotto's Tomb and Aviorus in "Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader". Find the Chartist's Monocle and Celestial Inspiration.

Sotto's Tomb

Sotto's Tomb is accessible via a green route from Furibundus. Before exploring the system, you must defeat three Cobra-Class Destroyers.

  • Asteroid (Chapter 4): Contains the Deepest Tunnels point of interest.
  • Unidentified Imperial Voidship (Chapter 4): See below.
  • Ice World: Yields Plasteel x5. Investigating the Sotto's Tomb point of interest provides flavour text.
  • Space Dust x2: Both yield Fuel.
  • Hulk: Yields the Chartist's Monocle and Mechanicus Creations cargo, completing the Inevitable Triumph rumour.

Sotto's Tomb - The Deepest Tunnels

Examine the point of interest to send an exploration team to the asteroid. Extract plasteel deposits (Demolition -25) for Plasteel x3. When a transparent, viscous substance is released, make an Awareness (-25) check for Chemicals x1. Your exploration team will then be attacked; engage the monsters (Ballistic Skill +70) for Provisions x1. At the centre of the asteroid, you will find Flogiston x1.

Sotto's Tomb - Unidentified Imperial Voidship

If you encountered the Kasballica Mission voidship, the Scarlet Pursuer, in the Palatium Stellos system, you will find it here.

Aviorus

Aviorus can be reached via yellow routes from Furibundus and Sotto's Tomb.

  • Burning World: Point of interest: Augur's Anomaly (see below).
  • Desert World: Yields Adamantine x2. Explore the point of interest to encounter a hermit. Asking for his blessing grants the Celestial Inspiration talent (+10 momentum at the start of battle).
  • Drifting Voidship: See below.
  • Jungle World: Yields Provisions x5. The Smuggler's Cache contains grenades, medikits, and cargo.
  • Gas Giant: Explore the point of interest to obtain Fuel cargo.

Aviorus - Augur's Anomaly

The Burning World shows no points of interest until you interact with the Kasballican Mission ship in Palatium Stellos. Afterwards, the Augur's Anomaly point of interest appears as part of the Burning Worlds errand.

Aviorus - Drifting Voidship

Examine the door at the end of the entrance corridor (Tech-Use +0) and note the power outage. Head through the door on the eastern wall, go up some stairs, and look for a weakened wall to breach, allowing access to a locked chest's contents (Tech-Use +20). Return downstairs and follow the walkway east then west. Note the malfunctioning doors in the room with the Mad Tech-Priest. Examine the passage to the right to find a hidden (Awareness +0) door. Unlink your Demolition expert and remove a trap (Demolition +25) from inside the room to retrieve the Provocateur's Helmet from a crate. Back outside, use a cogitator to open the faulty door (Logic +45). In the room with malfunctioning transformers, search a cabinet near them for the Beyond Sanity servo-skull swarm accessory. To proceed, send a single character past the malfunctioning transformers. You can examine them (Tech-Use +0) for XP, but use the console on the opposite side to disable them. After a vision, attempt a Lore: Warp (+0) test for more information. Head north through the doorway. Follow the passageway to a scene with mad Tech-Priests. At the end of the corridor, send your Demolition expert to remove a floor trap, granting access to a locked (Tech-Use +0) container on the wall containing Augmented Gloves. Continue south to a room filled with poison gas. Interact with the Compressor Hall Main Cogitator, which indicates pressure parameters should be 10. Activate the following stabilisers: the two to the left of the cogitator (+5) and the one in the far corner (+5). After activating the third stabiliser, use another character to operate the cogitator and turn off the gas. Turn on the backup generator (Tech-Use +45). Blow a hole in the southern wall (Demolition +0) and clear traps beyond to recover minor loot. Make your way back towards the entrance. In the transformer area, you will be attacked by a Mad Magos, a Mad Logis with a Marksman Rifle, two Mad Technomats with sniper rifles, and four Servitors. Be cautious of Heralds of Corruption attached to walls powering up Servitors. The Logis and one Servitor are on the walkway to the right, while the Magos and Technomats are on the far side with Servitors between you and them. After defeating enemies, clear a trap in the hallway beyond. You will encounter more enemies: a Mad Magos, four Servitors, three Mad Technomats, three Vox Skulls, and four Heralds of Corruption. Continue towards the entrance, clearing three traps en route, and two more in the entrance hallway. Restore power to the door blocking the Computing Cathedral and proceed through. Grab cargo and a Headhunter Light Carapace from a crate just inside the door before speaking to Magos Tiberius Mahla, who is fused with the altar. A Lore: Warp (+40) check reveals the holy martyrs bear Chaos symbols. A Persuasion (+25) check can point out their unwitting fall to Chaos. Alternatively, attempt a Coercion (-30) check to demand they snap out of their delusion.
