Keystone Features:

  • Blade Dance: Costs 2 AP, 1 round cooldown. Affects multiple random targets. You make (2 + AGI bonus / 4) melee attacks against random targets (including allies) next to you, each dealing 50% damage. This melee burst attack does not count towards the attack limit for this turn. This ability can only be used when wielding a sword. If you have two swords equipped, you make (1 + AGI bonus / 4) attacks with each one.
  • Death From Above: Costs 0 AP, 0 cooldown. Affects an unoccupied cell within a 3-cell radius. Each time you kill an enemy, you gain 1 charge of Death From Above and using this ability costs 1 charge. You leap into the air, landing in any unoccupied cell within 3 cells and in your line of sight. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity and deals (AGI bonus + WS bonus) damage to all adjacent enemies. You can use this ability multiple times per turn if you have enough charges; however each use inflicts 1 stack of short of breath (-10% Strength and Perception, -20% dodge). You must have a sword equipped to use this ability.

Abilities:

  • Death Waltz (Heroic Act / Desperate Measures): N/A cost, once per combat cooldown. Affects one enemy creature within a 3-cell radius. You use Death From Above against a target without spending a charge and immediately make a melee attack against that enemy. You repeat this against up to (2 + AGI bonus / 3) times against random available targets. When used as a Desperate Measure, you suffer 1 random trauma. At 9th and 15th levels, you can choose one of the following upgrades: 1. Full heal, ability wound cost halved until end of combat. 2. Gain +4 charges of Death From Above, deals +AGI bonus additional damage until end of combat. 3. Strikes reduce enemy Weapon Skill by -(2 + AGI bonus / 2) and decrease enemy armour and dodge by -(2 + AGI bonus / 2)% until end of combat. These penalties stack. 4. When using Death Waltz after killing an enemy, gain +3% dodge until end of combat, stacks up to (AGI bonus) times.
  • Acrobatic Artistry: Costs 1 AP, 1 round cooldown. Affects personal area. You immediately return to the cell where you started your turn. This movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity. If you used Death From Above this turn, this movement repeats all uses of this ability in reverse.
  • Blood Oath: Costs (5 + your level / 2) wounds, 0 cooldown. Affects one enemy creature. The targeted enemy is unable to dodge or parry your next attack and if this attack kills the target, you regain (5 + 2 x TGH bonus) wounds and +1 AP along with an additional attack this turn. You can use this ability multiple times in a given turn but can only gain AP and an additional attack once per round.
  • Captive Audience: Requires 6th level. Costs 1 AP, 1 round cooldown. Affects personal area. Your next attack inflicts (your AGI bonus + WS bonus) levels of bleeding against all targets hit. Affected targets must pass a Toughness resistance test with a -(10 + 2 x AGI bonus) penalty or become immobilised for 1 round. Enemies immobilised by this ability count as full cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) for you and your allies when you are next to them.
  • Oath of Vengeance: Costs (5 + your level / 2) wounds, 0 cooldown. Affects one ally. Until the end of combat, your attacks against enemies who have attacked the selected ally are made with +(10 + AGI bonus)% critical hit chance and +(20 + 2 x WS bonus)% critical damage.
  • Veil of Blades: Costs (5 + your level / 2) wounds, 1 round cooldown. Affects one side of the battlefield. Requires a sword to be equipped. You face a chosen direction and immediately end your turn. Until the start of your next turn, you can dodge area attacks without moving, are immune to forced movement, gain +20% parry against attacks from the chosen side and can parry attacks made against adjacent allies. You can also parry ranged attacks (but not ranged area attacks) from the chosen side as though they were melee attacks and the enemy's weapon skill is equal to hit chance of the attack. An attack parried in this way can be redirected towards an enemy on the chosen side. The chance of this happening is equal to half the parry chance.

Talents: When selecting talents from the full talent list, you may additionally choose from talents unique to the Bladedancer archetype.

Tips
  • Ensure you have a sword equipped for abilities like Blade Dance, Death From Above, and Veil of Blades.
  • When dual-wielding, both weapons must be swords to meet ability requirements.
  • Consider the synergy between Death From Above and Acrobatic Artistry for repositioning and repeated attacks.
  • Captive Audience can create valuable cover for your party by immobilising enemies.
