Investigate the Adeptus Mechanicus Monastery on Rykad Minoris in "Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader". Recruit Heinrix van Calox and discover the cultists' plans.
Walkthrough
- 1From the map, select Rykad Minoris / Electrodynamic Cenobium.
- 2From the landing point, go south and loot crates, one requiring an Athletics check (+30).
- 3Head north, examine a body (Awareness +35) for XP.
- 4Examine a broken statue (Lore: Imperium +30) for XP.
- 5Examine the altar opposite for XP.
- 6Head up the stairs north and use the controls to open the sanctum gates.
- 7Go through the gates into the Electrodynamic Cenobium.
- 8Proceed north, stepping over cultists.
- 9At a fork, examine the cogitator and note the symbol: a key connecting two lines. This is a clue for a later puzzle.
- 10Go west (left) and through a door south to meet Heinrix van Calox.
- 11If Idira is in your party, select "Interrogator van Calox, I presume?". Heinrix will question Idira's sanction. Agreeing she is part of your personal retinue yields the best outcome for her character development.
- 12Heinrix will requisition you and your retinue, revealing evidence of sinister forces and the cultist leader within the monastery. Their goal is to detonate the reactor for their 'final dawn'. Agree to join forces.
- 13If your party is full, you must make room for Heinrix. The Soulsiphon sword is an improvement over his starting weapon.
- 14After equipping and leveling Heinrix, examine the cogitator (Logic +25) to open a hidden door. Loot the chest for Leather Armour and a Charged Staff.
- 15Return to the hallway and loot containers.
- 16Continue west to an area with electrified zones that cause damage. You will be ambushed by three Cultist Fighters and four Cultist Gunners. Be cautious of the electrified areas during and after the fight.
- 17Unlink characters. Send Abelard east down the corridor where enemies lurk. Make an Athletics (+40) check to climb over cases and find a container with a Plasma Pistol (for Pasqal) and minor loot.
- 18Have Pasqal inspect the cogitator (Logic +20) and note the central tenet of the Electro-Priest religion: the triumph of reason over all other facets of human nature.
- 19Return across the crates and head north up the corridor one at a time to avoid damage. You are safe at the end.
- 20Examine dead cultists (Awareness +30) wearing military uniforms under their robes.
- 21Loot a locked (Tech-Use +35) chest for minor loot.
- 22Proceed east to find cultists torturing a Tech-Priest. Pasqal recognizes him as his mentor, Amarnat.
- 23Pasqal suggests using the blasphemers' clothing as a disguise to overload power units and kill the heretics undetected. Most companions will express disquiet.
- 24Choose your dialogue option: Dogmatic: "I will not allow corruption to touch you"; Heretical: "I'm actually curious to know what it's like..." or "Are you suggesting we pass on the chance to kill them all...?" ; Iconoclast: "If it helps to save a worthy man...".
- 25If you select the Dogmatic choice or the second Heretical one, you will fight all the cultists: nine Fighters and sixteen Gunners.
- 26If you choose to Commit Sabotage:
- 27You will be challenged by a cultist. Make a Lore (Warp), Coercion, or Persuasion check (+45) to deal with him.
- 28Sabotage three devices:
- 291. Safety System Control Altar (Tech-Use +45) on the eastern side.
- 302. Distribution Servitor (Tech-Use +45) in the southern part of the room.
- 313. Lumenodaecon's Command Throne (Toughness +55; personal) on the central platform.
- 32Pasqal will direct you to repeat the litany, overloading the power units and electrocuting the cultists.
- 33Talk to the rescued Tech-Priest. Pasqal realizes he is not Amarnat.
- 34The priest identifies himself as Abel Haneumann and tells Pasqal the design is fulfilled.
- 35Tell them they can talk when you get the priest out.
- 36Abel states you need to recite the hymn of contact circuit restoration to find surviving priests. Pasqal reports the cultists have been partially successful.

- The Plasma Pistol found is a good option for Pasqal.
- Choose your dialogue options carefully when dealing with the Tech-Priest's rescue, as they impact the situation.
