Yrliet is an Aeldari sniper who assists you when you are attacked by rebels outside the governor's mansion on Janus. After meeting the governor, you can find her and she will join you in investigating the causes of the rebellion on the planet.

Her origin grants her the unique ability In My Sights.

• In My Sights: Costs 2 AP, affects one enemy within a 36-cell radius, has a cooldown of 1. Yrliet immediately ends her turn. At the start of her next full turn (but not extra turns), she makes an attack that cannot miss and which does not count towards the attack limit per turn.

She also receives the Children of Asuryan talent and can select other unique talents as you level her up.

• The Children of Asuryan: Yrliet can advance Agility, Perception and Awareness regardless of archetype. She gains +15% dodge and +2 initiative.
• Drukhari Equipment: Yrliet can use Drukhari gear as well as Aeldari.
• Path of the Outcast: When Yrliet kills a target with a single-shot attack from an Aeldari weapon for the first time in a round, she immediately gains an additional attack.
• Penetrating Sight: Yrliet's In My Sights attack gains +(Perception)% armour penetration.

Not counting (DLC (downloadable content — extra missions or items released after launch)), the game provides one Soldier archetype and three Operative archetypes. Yrliet is the only Operative who functions effectively as a sniper, capable of eliminating enemies from a distance, due to her characteristic points and the suitability of Aeldari weapons for the role.

Since she operates at long range and requires minimal movement, you can equip her with items like the Metronome accessory to boost her stats when stationary. During the Exemplar levels, focus on increasing her Perception to 100 to grant her 8 AP per turn. You can then equip her with the Bead of Might for a significant damage increase.
