How to Issue Orders in Three Hopes

In Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, you can issue commands to your units via the Battle Map. This guide explains how to deploy units, understand primary and secondary units, and utilize various commands like Move, Guard, Attack, Seize, and Adjutant functions.

Deploying Units:

During Main Quest battles, you can deploy eight units (four primary, four secondary). Side and Extra Quest battles allow only four primary units. Primary units are directly controllable and marked with a blue circle, while secondary units are not directly controllable and marked with a blue diamond. Both types can serve as Adjutants and receive orders.

Issuing Orders:

Press the button at any time to enter the Battle Map. Select a unit with the button. An arrow will appear, allowing you to issue commands:

• Move: Drag the arrow to an empty map tile. The selected unit will move there and then follow its autobattle AI script, typically heading towards objectives or nearby enemies.
• Guard: Select an allied unit, then drag the arrow to another allied unit. The commanded unit will move to the ally's location and defend them from enemies. This is useful for protecting units or objectives, and can keep units in place.
• Attack or Seize: Select an allied unit, then drag the arrow to an enemy unit. The commanded unit will focus on attacking that enemy. If the target is a Stronghold Captain, the order becomes "Seize." Once the target is defeated, the unit returns to its autobattle AI.
• Control: Press the button when selecting a primary unit to take direct control of them.
• Assign/Unassign Adjutant: Press the button when selecting a unit. You can assign another allied unit to be an Adjutant, granting boons, or unassign an existing Adjutant.
• Other Commands: Pressing the button when selecting a unit can bring up options like "Heal" or "Dismount."

Effective use of these commands allows for strategic battlefield control, enabling you to split forces, protect key allies, and quickly neutralize threats.
