Complete Brennius Territory in fire emblem warriors three hopes. S Rank requires 12:00 completion, 1200 enemies defeated, and 40% damage taken.
If you have captured all of the regions in this chapter, then you should have a total of 60 Strategy Resources to use. There’s a total of 70 Strategy Resources among all of the options, meaning there will be a single Strategy left unused. Both Assign Armored Unit and Hire Mercenaries will put extra allied units on the field. Relentless Formation will change the layout of your characters at the beginning of the map, spreading them out more to cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects) some more ground. The top two Strategies are gotten from the Surveying Spots during the chapter.
Strategies:
- Backdoor Intel (20 Strategy Resources): Open a backdoor into the fortress using previously acquired information.
- Rally the Reserves (20 Strategy Resources): Summon reserves to stop the enemy messengers.
- Assign Armored Unit (10 Strategy Resources): Assign an armored unit to protect a target.
- Relentless Formation (10 Strategy Resources): Begin the battle in an offensive formation.
- Hire Mercenaries (10 Strategy Resources): Summon mercenaries to engage the enemy forces. Reinforcements will deploy periodically.
S Rank Requirements for Brennius Territory:
- Completion Time: 12:00
- Enemies Defeated: 1200
- Damage Taken: 40%
This is a challenging S Rank due to the low time limit. You will need to make proper use out of issuing orders to your allies here, since you are pressed for time. Focus solely on doing nothing but the main missions, only stopping to potentially defend your one central stronghold that results in a game over. It might be a good idea to not choose the Backdoor Intel Strategy during a S Rank run, since you need to defeat two enemy units to get to Baron Dominic.
- 1Mission 1: Seize the Strongholds around the Castle
Your first mission is to capture three strongholds on the southern side of the map. Two will be in the bottom corners, while the third is towards the middle, a little north of the bottom. If you chose the Relentless Formation Strategy, then your characters should be positioned right outside of these strongholds. If not, you will need to travel to the middle one. Upon capturing all three, the main gate will open, allowing you to enter the castle.
- 2Mission 2: Defeat Gustave
As soon as you step foot inside the castle, where the green X mark is shown, Gustave will appear. He may be accompanied by a Fortress Knight. Gustave is an Armored Knight wielding an axe and shield. Byleth or Shez are ideal for handling him.
- 3Mission 3: Defeat Viscount Brennius and Allies
Defeating Gustave will open the stronghold gates in that area. Shortly after, Viscount Brennius will appear with five additional enemy units: two Armored Knights with axes in the center, a Mercenary with a sword in the east, and two Mages with tomes in the west. Issue orders to your allies, sending those strong against the enemy types. Some enemy units will march towards your central base in the south; if this stronghold falls, it's a game over. Send a unit to defend it, and if it's in trouble, immediately go to help.
- 4Side Mission: Seize the Strongholds to Stop the Ballistae
The Kingdom will activate ballistae on your troops. These are located in two strongholds off to the side of the central area where Gustave was. Each stronghold has a Captain and a Fortress Knight. Sword-users will have an easier time capturing these to stop the ballistae.
- 5Side Mission: Defeat the Messengers to Stop the Reinforcements
Messengers will appear along the eastern and western edges of the map to call for reinforcements. The Rally the Reserves strategy can be used to slow them down.
- If you chose the Relentless Formation Strategy, your characters will start near the first three strongholds.
- Focus on main missions to meet the S Rank time limit, only deviating to defend your central base if necessary.
- Consider not choosing the Backdoor Intel Strategy for an S Rank run, as it requires defeating extra enemy units.
- Use ally orders effectively to manage multiple threats and conserve time.
- Send sword-users to capture the strongholds to stop the ballistae.
