Walkthrough

    Capture Strongholds: Your first goal should be to capture the four strongholds surrounding Mateus. Avoid the ballistae fire from Mateus, indicated by a giant red circle on the ground. Upon seizing all strongholds, Mateus will surrender.

    Seize Northwestern Strongholds: Capture the five strongholds in the northwestern portion of the map.

    Aid Sorcery Engineers: During the second main mission, rescue Sorcery Engineers from Swordmasters. This is mandatory if you wish to use the Resonant Lightning Strategy.

    Defeat Paladins Attacking Randolph: Paladins will attack Randolph in the southeastern corner. If you chose the Built Up Strategy, use the nearby stronghold to quickly defeat them.

    Defeat and Recruit Yuri: After seizing the northwestern strongholds, Yuri will appear. If you chose the Persuade Yuri Strategy, initiate it and defeat Yuri to recruit him.

  • To recruit Byleth, you need the Resonant Lightning Strategy (30 Resources), obtained from the Western Duval Territory.
  • To recruit Yuri, you need the Persuade Yuri Strategy (20 Resources).

  • After defeating Yuri, a bridge will form in the southeast, allowing you to attack the enemy base from that side.
