Extra Quest: An Unexpected Encounter (1)

Right off the bat, your main objective is to take down the six marked enemy officers scattered across the map. To make this go smoother and help with that S-Rank kill count, I recommend sending your allied units to engage the officers that are further away. This way, you can focus on the ones closer to you and clear them out faster. The enemy officers are a mix of Tome-users and Sword-users, so make sure you've got a balanced team composition to counter them effectively.

At some point during the battle, a new Mage unit will pop up from the northwest, and a Demonic Beast will appear near the northern part of the map. Your main mission will then update to require you to defeat both of these new threats. The additional Mage unit isn't anything too special, but the Demonic Beast is where things get a bit more interesting. It has four shields, and each one has a specific weakness: Sword, Spear, Gauntlets, and Wind. Your best bet here is to exploit these weaknesses to trigger a Critical Rush. This is the easiest way to chew through its three health bars and get some nice bonus loot!

Pro-Tip: All of the Demonic Beast's attacks are clearly telegraphed, meaning you'll see them coming. Just be mindful of your own attack animations; if you're in the middle of a combo, you might not be able to dodge in time. Once you've taken down both the Mage and the Demonic Beast, you'll wrap up this Extra Quest!
