Learn how to find the Cap of Curing in Baldur's Gate 3. This helmet grants the Soothing Songs ability, healing allies when you use Bardic Inspiration.
Alright, so you're looking to snag the Cap of Curing in Baldur's Gate 3? It's a pretty neat piece of gear, especially if you've got a Bard in your party. It lets you heal an ally for 1d6 hit points every time you use Bardic Inspiration. Super handy!
First things first, you'll need to have progressed a bit in the game. Make your way off the starting ship and get yourself to the Wilderness Map. From there, head towards the northeast part of the map to find the Emerald Grove. Once you're in the Emerald Grove, navigate through The Hollow until you reach the area called the Sacred Pool.
When you get to the Sacred Pool, stick close to the left wall. You'll spot a small opening there that leads you further east. Follow that path until you come to a fork. Take the right path and keep going until you reach the very end.
You'll find an NPC named Alfira there. It's a good idea to chat with her and maybe even help her finish her song – there's a whole separate guide for that if you're interested!
After you're done with Alfira, head to the absolute end of the path. You're looking for a Gilded Chest. Before you try to open it, I'd highly recommend making an auto-save. Just press F5 to do that. Then, use your lockpicking skills on the chest. Inside, you'll find the Cap of Curing!
This helmet is fantastic for Bards, obviously, because of its 'Soothing Songs' effect. If you don't have a Bard or want to use it on another character, don't forget you can always respec your companions to change their class.
